What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 3 P.M.  Check-out is 12:00 Noon.

What is the minimum age for check-in?  What ID is needed for check-in?
18 is the minimum age for check in. A valid state ID, drivers license, or passport is required for identification to check in.

What forms of payment are accepted for bookings?
A valid credit card is required to book accommodations.   We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover).  When you arrive at check-in, a hold is placed on the credit card for the full amount of room/taxes plus expected incidentals (i.e. parking, rollaway bed, or refrigerator rental charges).  Upon check-out, any unused portion will be returned to the card within 4-7 business days, depending on your financial institution.

Do you accept cash-only bookings?
Guests who pay with cash due to a declined credit card, or lack of a credit card will be expected to pay the full amount of their stay including room/taxes and expected incidentals. In addition to the room charges, we will require a 'security deposit' of $150 dollars.  Your security deposit may be refunded after your room has been inspected by a staff member at check out time.  Any damage or smoking in the room will result in the loss of the security deposit.

May I use my credit card to pay for someone elses stay?
Yes, you may!  In order to do so, please email reservations so we can email you a credit card authorization form.  email to reservations@midtownhotel.com

What is the hotel cancellation policy?
You must cancel your booking 24 hours prior to your arrival.  Failure to do so will result in a charge of one night's room and tax charges applied to the credit card used to hold the booking.  Please be aware that the cancellation policy may differ for special promos and packages.  When this is the case, the policy will be clearly marked on the promo or package.

May I change/cancel a reseration booked through a 3rd party booking site?
Any changes, cancellations, or refunds to your booking made with a 3rd party site (one not booked directly with our hotel), must be done on the site you originally booked through.  The Midtown Hotel cannot change or alter any 3rd party reservations booking without authorization from the company or site.  The Midtown Hotel cannot refund any money for a boooking booked on a 3rd party site. 

Q: May I request an early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in requests cannot be guaranteed.  If you arrive early and your room is available, we will be happy to check you in.  If the room is not ready, you are welcome to have your luggage stored with our Bellstaff.     Late check-out requests will be considered on a case by case basis, due to the nature of the business, and the needs of the hotel.

Is there a charge for early departure (leaving before your booking is complete)?
An early departure fee in the amount of one night's room/tax may be applied if a guest chooses to end their reservation prior to the check-out date.  Please be advised that The Midtown Hotel cannot give any refunds  for bookings made through a 3rd party website.

Is The Midtown Hotel near public transportation?
The Midtown Hotel is located on the GREEN LINE "E" train.  You can get off at either PRUDENTIAL or SYMPHONY STATIONS (the hotel is located between the two stops).  It is about a 2 -3 minute walk from the subway to the hotel.    We are also just a 5 minute walk to the MASS AVE. STATION on the ORANGE LINE.

Does The Midtown Hotel offer FREE wireless?
YES! Wireless internet access is available, free of charge, throughout the property.  Wifi service is complimentary.

Do you offer smoking rooms?
The Midtown Hotel is a smoke free property.  Due to current laws, you are prohibited from smooking in the guest rooms or hallways inside the hotel.  a $250 fee is assessed for any guest who chooses to smoke inside the property.

Does The Midtown Hotel have refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms?
Our Deluxe Queen and Executive King rooms feature a micro-fridge (microwave/refrigerator combo) in those room types.  Our Standark King, Standard Queen, and Standard Double rooms do not have a microwave or refrigerator.   Guests in Standard rooms types may opt to have a refrigerator brought to the room for the small charge of $5/nights.   You may also see the Bellstaff if you need a microwave to heat up your food.

When is your pool open?
Our outdoor courtyard pool is the perfect spot for you needs,

whether its a quick dip with friends, or sunning in our courtyard.

Our on-site, Lifeguard Staff offers you towel service with a smile after a long day sight-seeing. The Midtown Hotel is one of the few Boston hotels that offers a pool for its guests.

The pool hours, while 8 AM - 8 PM are subject to prevailing weather conditions. We reserve the right to close the pool, at any time, if weather reports indicate stormy or inclement weather on the way.

Does The Midtown Hotel have a gym/fitness center?
While our hotel does not have  a gym/fitness center on the premises, we are a 5 minute walk from the Huntington Avenue YMCA.   Get a free 1-day guest pass for the Y right here.

Does The Midtown Hotel have a restaurant on the premises?
The Midtown hotel does not have an on-site restaurant. We also do not offer a continental breakfast.  Being in the heart of Boston's Back Bay section, you are surrounded by dining choices that range from the economical to the decadent.  Feel free to ask our staff for recommendations.

Where is your business center?
The Midtown Hotel does not have a business center.  Guests needing help printing boarding passes, documents, tickets, etc. can see the Front Desk staff for assistance in printing up those items.

May I ship a package to the hotel before I arrive?
Yes, guests may ship packages to the hotel.  Please be sure that the name on the package matches the name of the guest booked on the reservation to avoid any confuision.  Please include your date of arrival on the package.   We will hold it until you arrive.

Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
The Midtown Hotel does not offer free shuttle service.  For clients arriving/departing we recommend booking with GO Boston Shuttle . You can book your pick-up/departure on their site for your needs. 

Is there on-site parking?  Is it free of charge?
The Midtown Hotel has an on-site parking garage.  The current rate for overnight guest parking is $29/night.  The parking charge is in addition to the room rate.    Check out our promotions page for details on ways to receive free parking during your visit. May I bring my pet to The Midtown Hotel?
The Midtown Hotel is plesed to welcome your pet (weight limit of 50 pounds)  There is a non-refundable fee of $30 per pet.  Please see our pet page for more details.  Dogs can frolic in the near-by Carlton Court Dog Park.

May I add extra people to my booking?  How much extra is it?
The rate for the rooms are based on single/double occupany, meaning that the rate is the same for one or two persons staying in the room.  There is an additional charge of $15 + tax per person for each person over 2 in the room.

Is there a charge for an extra bed to be brought to the room?
Yes, a rollway bed is an additional charge of $15/night per room.

Does The Midtown Hotel offer Accessible rooms?
Yes, The Midtown Hotel has 2 Accessible rooms that feature one double bed, roll-in showers, raised vanities and widened doorways. All rooms come equipped with a 32" flat-screen television, iron, ironing board, in-room safe, and coffee maker. FREE WiFi. We have recently added a chair-lift in the lobby.

How do I get Trolley Tickets?
Concierge Services-Our bell staff will provide you with information on local attractions, trolley tickets, airport shuttles and additional services. Please be aware that some services are subject to a separate charge.
